Resolved Question: FedEx "Goods Not Received At Del Depo" is my parcel lost?

I bought an item off eBay on 04/01/12. It was sent the following day via next day delivery so it was due to arrive yesterday on 06/01/12. From yesterday morning the status of the parcel on FedEx's tracking service has been simply "Goods Not Received At Del Depo". Is this just a mistake of some sort like the parcel may have missed its van? Should I wait until Monday before I do anything? Resolved Question: Will you give me a quick critique, should I continue this?

I am writing to you from the future- please, someone, anyone who receives this message, do not ignore it! I am a 'lady', which is not a term used much anymore without being in the form of a scathing joke or to tutor untrue history to an every-male society... Let me explain. My name- I used to be Sylva but now I am 642-PSS. The final 'S' was the only thing they messed up on because the 642-PSD they kept in the sealed cubicle next to mine was selected almost immediately. 'PSD" is petite/slender/demure. I was deemed petite/slender/spirited. We were the females chosen to be cloned and then genetically programmed when the female gender was being eradicated from the planet. It seems that the larger 'spirited' models were much more in demand than my diminutive form; being slender as well, I found an escape that a larger person could not. They had to give us ventilation. When I left it was after they started to feed me less often and were about to dispose of me as past my date of marketability. I have extremely good hearing and was able to keep abreast of this by putting my ear to the right spot in the wall at the right time to catch the workers during their break hour conversations. I did not want to be put down. Euthanasia was well and good for those who had too much pain, terminal illness, and had CHOSEN that option, but in this day and age women no longer had 'choice' in anything at every. The purchase of an bio-android wife came with the promise of reprogramming were a man's tastes to change, automatic resurfacing every 5 years, and a vast array of software for any occasion. They were expensive, bought new, but no more than the cost of providing for a human wife for 40 years or so, including the wedding. No actual wedding needed to occur, the property was digitally recorded so that a man could prove ownership and access services. Services such as breeding. This is much more expensive and requires that a man change settings on his virtual marriage certificate to fertile, provide a sperm sample by the usual means- though the programming was set to a new directive. After the sample was supplied, the processing was performed and if the sample were accepted, the android was then placed remotely into a non-operable state until sent to a facility for monitoring and performance enhancement by well-trained, strictly regulated engineers. Were the model not to have arrived at the facility within 3 months after the sperm sample was approved, the model would cease operational modality permanently, rendering it useless. There were also legal repurcussions to this form of negligence, and in most cases ythe punishments were depicted to be so horrific that for the most part, there were no more violations. The strict regulations made men much more concerned with the process of breeding and raising of kids, and this taughyt empathy and nurture to men that had formerly not held those traits in ther genes except by the smallest of percentages. But that is the reason I am still alive and have not been captured. I was saved by a man who caught me stealing food from his parcel delivery. He later told me that he had been observing me stealing in his neighborhood for weeks and had felt my suffering and hunger as if it were his possess, and could not stand to let me feel that way anymore. This was puzzling to him. Welcome to empathy, I told him. We were bonded by that connection forever.

Resolved Question: Royal Mail delivery, "Something for you" card was lost, help?

Via Amazon, I ordered a big amount of books through a gift-card and on the day or delivery, I was unable to collect my parcel as I was not at home. My incompetent siblings appear to have misplaced my "Something For You" card, delivered by the Royal Mail on my absence, and therefore I do not know what to do in terms of organising re-delivery through the Royal Mail online. Do I have to contact the Royal Mail personally? I am 15 years old, and I was wondering what forms of identification I could bring to the Delivery Office if I were to go with a parent to collect the items, as I am not yet 16 and have not yet received my National Insurance number to help with identification. Would a birth certificate do the trick? Thanks.

Resolved Question: Sending letters from Denmark to Turkey?

I sent letters (not adore letters, documents ;) ) from Denmark (Copenhagen) to Turkey (Tekirdag) couple of times before. I used Post Danmark and it is slow and by slow i mean it took 2-3 weeks delivery time! (despite their claims of 1-2 day delivery time, maybe it is Turkish postal service's fault, i don't know) UPS and DHL are out of the question for they charge astronomical prices. Can you suggest me a parcel company with reasonable prices (max 150-200 kr) and delivery time (max 1 week)? Or maybe there is a service that I had overlooked in Post Danmark?

Open Question: What are my rights? How can I take this further?

This is quite a long saga, so I'll try and summarise it to fit the key points. I purchased a Groupon deal on 24/11/11 for 2 faux leather beds at £65 each. Groupon send me a voucher, which I then redeemed through www.gadgetsandproducts.co.uk. Firstly, the deal advertised delivery within 14-18 days. http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/gadgets-and-products/1769151 It is now over 10 weeks later, and I am still waiting. Gadgetsandproducts initially contacted me promising delivery. They then stalled and said that they had been badly let down by their courier company and had switched to Parcel Force and sent me another tracking number. By this time, being over the festive period I had expected delays, but once again, they said the company had let them down and were taking delivery in home. The last I heard from them was 10th January - again, promising delivery, or giving me the option to cancel my order. I have been trying since Christmas to cancel the order and receive my money back. I had had to pay a delivery charge of £19.99 per bed through paypal which paypal have refunded for me, but I am having major problems trying to receive my £130 back. Gadgetsandproducts won't return my e-mails, my bank have told me to take it up with Groupon, and Groupon promised me my refund within 10 working days on Wed 18th January. I am getting nowhere. Groupon can't explain why I still haven't been refunded, or when they will have this resolved, and will not allow me to talk to a supervisor/manager (although I have to wait another 2 working days for a callback). I need answers, and I need this money back. Is there anywhere else I can lift a complaint against them?

Resolved Question: Japanese bed queston?

I've been thinking about redecorating my room lately, maybe during the summer break, because I have a bunk bed with the desk and a computor underneath it (I'm an only child), and I would like to receive a new bed. However, my room is really tiny (roughly 3 m x 2 m, and I think it's even smaller), and the closets, chests of drawers and the bunk bed occupy 80% of it, so I currently only have a narrow passage in the middle of the room that is about 20% of the room's area (did I mention my room is REALLY tiny ^^). Another thing, I really like Japanese culture, so I was thinking of getting a japanese bed (called futon), which I could put into the closet during the day in order to make my room a bit more spacious, while I would receive rid of the bunk bed. Also, there is another problem: I live in Croatia. You've probably never heard of it, and if you have, I'm very glad you did because it's a beautiful country :) This is a problem because there are no stores which sell these beds in Zagreb (or so I think, if you find one, please put it in your answer), so I would have to order online, and I have never done that before. I've found this website which sells these beds: http://www.jlifeinternational.com/houseitems/futon/shikifuton/shikifuton_e.html I especially like the kanji black one. However, there is one thing I don't understand: this is a quote from wikipedia: "They are often sold in sets that include the futon mattress (shikibuton), a comforter (kakebuton) or blanket (mōfu), a summer blanket resembling a big towel (taoruketto), and a pillow (makura) generally filled with beans, buckwheat chaff, or plastic beads" My question is: are these other things included with the product shown on the website, or would I have to buy them separately, and also, are every of them necessary? And the last thing: how to buy this online? From what I heard, I have to receive a credit card, deposit money on it, then buy the bed via paypal and then pick it up as the parcel at the post office or is it delivered straight to my address? I'm not really sure about the mailing and billing process, if you would be so nice as to explain it to me, I would be grateful :) Also, if you by any chance know how much would every of these things, shikibuton, kakebuton, etc. cost, including the delivery and shipping, please write it in your answer, because I would feel bad if my parents would spend too much money on me, because they're not that wealthy and they would probably have to receive a loan for the new bed, but they agree I need to receive a new bed (like 500$ should be the bed limit, IMO). Thanks in advance for replies, and I wish you understood everything I've written, because English isn't my mom tongue, but I'm hoping to take CPE exam next year. :)

Voting Question: Which laws cover the responsibility of Royal Mail to deliver parcels safely to their destination?

I have a very tiny business on eBay. This year Royal Mail has lost several of my parcels, even recorded delivery parcels. Apparently I can only claim for the amount that it cost me to buy the items and also I have to include my bank statement together with the invoice. One parcel of mine which was lost contained three items so I am not glad as Royal Mail have lost me the tiny profits that I work difficult for, plus expenses for packing materials and time involved travelling to and queueing in the post office. It seems unfair that the recipient cannot claim, as I am told that below the Distance Selling Regulations it is the sellers responsibility to make sure the item arrives, and it is my responsibility to refund the full amount. This year I have heard so many people have had parcels lost and had to wait weeks for parcels to be delivered. Surely the post office should be responsible for the carelessness or dishonesty of their staff and pay the full amount of loss to people like myself. What is the point of paying 75p for recorded delivery as it only proves that the sender posted the parcel now, and what is the point of this if the sender is responsible for the full amount of the loss. I have put in a claim for the full amount. If they refuse to pay me this are their any laws that I can quote with regard to their responsibilities?

Resolved Question: Please help me with this accounting problem?

I am stumped here. The answer is not .0006 cents per mile. Speedy parcel service operates a fleet of delivery trucks in a big metropolitan area. A careful observation of the companies cost anlyst has determined that if a truck is driven 120000 miles during a year the average operating cost is 13.5 cents per mile. If a truck is driven only 80000 miles during a year the average operating cost increases to 15.9 cents per mile using the high-low method, estimate the variable and fixed cost elements of the annual cost of truck operation. I do 15.9-13.9/120,000-80,000 and the answer is wrong. What am I suppose to do?

Resolved Question: I have a shop on eBay and Royal Mail have lost a parcel I posted by recorded delivery. Can the buyer claim?

I have a store on eBay and make very little profit on what I sell. I was really pleased when a buyer bought three items from me. However, despite posting the parcel by recorded delivery a month ago Royal Mail have lost it. I can only claim for what the items cost me to buy, so strictly speaking Royal Mail has lost my profits plus the money I spent on packaging. There is also the time and money I spent going to the post office. Claiming is quite complicated and I also have to send my bank statement stating what I spent on the items. My question is can the person who bought the items from me put in a claim herself if I post her the proof of posting? I have tried to find this out on the Royal Mail website but it is very complicated.

Resolved Question: Can anyone give me details on ParcelForce delivery times and exclusions..?

I've recently ordered an iPhone 4 from Tesco Mobile (Yesterday, around 1pm) I know that they post/boat via parcel force but I would like to give myself a delivery 'estimate' i've been on the Tesco and ParcelForce website but both seem to be a bit vauge and failing to answer my question. Can someone tell me the Delivery hours of ParcelForce and if they would be delivery on New Years Eve/Day and the Bank Holiday Monday following. I'm assuming that i'll be getting it some time early next week but looking at the ParcelForce website they only seem to offer a maximum length of a 2 day deliver so depending on the dispatch speed from Tecos was wondering if it would arrive tommorow(Saturday) Thanks in advance. This service doesn't seem to exist. This is my 3rd attempt of Royal Mail Re-Delivery Service. I've been sat in every day waiting for my big parcels that I can't go and collect because they're too bulky and heavy - I don't steer and I have a baby, the pram isn't strong enough to carry them.

Open Question: Why does postal shipping (Canada to UK) take so long?

I ordered a book from Canada on the 22nd December. I chose not to pay for faster delivery and the advice is 5-30 business days so I may not receive it until March. Resolved Question: When will my package come?

I bought shoes from TN, I live in CA. I ordered them from a seller on Ebay Saturday night, he shipped them out on Monday. Resolved Question: PROBLEMS WITH A DELIVERY FROM CHINA?

Its a long one! Sorry! I placed an order off a website for some trainers and I didnt realise the website was for a company in China. They gave me a tracking number for EMS and according to EMS two attempted delivers we're made and the third delivery was successful however I was gift at the delivery address on the said date and no attempts were made and certainly no deliverys! I have contacted the company in China and they told me to contact parcel force, I pointed out that EMS claim to have delivered the order but the company keep implying I missed the order and it has been taken to depot but I am confident this is not the case as firstly I was home and would have been able to accept the delivery and secondly the tracking website says it has been delivered. Now the company is saying that as the parcel is in the UK they cannot help me. WHAT DO I DO! please help me :(

Resolved Question: Seniors, have you ever been asked to sign one of those 'boxes'?

which delivery men (and postmen) now use where every you look is a screen? They say "Just put your signature anywhere in the box." We were always told to read what it is we are putting our signature to but now we cannot do that. They just expect us to obediently do as we are told. When we used to sign a bit of paper and there was no opportunity to check the contents I always used to write the words NOT EXAMINED over my signature but I haven't done that once since these screens have started to be used and I must remember to do so in future. I recently had my loft insulated and the men who brought in the rolls of insulation asked me to sign a screen once the goods were indoors and again when the job was done but didn't explain what I was signing and I, stupidly, didn't ask. I am going to do so from now on and add a few words of my possess (like I used to do) to make the point that I haven't checked anything. Recently I've been asked 3 times to take in a parcel for a neighbour. I've heard that the postmen are being asked to leave things with neighbours whenever possible now, so as not to have to return them to the sorting office, but that the neighbour is then responsible for it once signed for so I think it is really important now that we either a). refuse to take post in for someone else b). refuse to sign for it or c).write a disclaimer on the screen. What do you every do when faced with these 'screens' and the stylus.

Voting Question: I don't know what happened with my parcel I ordered?

I recently ordered some clothes from yesstyle.ca , and they chose to use hongkongpost. I was aware that the package would take a while to arrive since it was coming from Hong Kong which I was okay with. So I was tracking it and now it says 9-Jan-2012Hong KongItem posted and is being processed. 10-Jan-2012Hong KongThe item left Hong Kong for its destination on 10-Jan-2012 13-Jan-2012CanadaThe addressee requested later delivery. The item is being held at addressee's request. The 13th of January was a Friday, and I'm aware there's no postal service on the weekends... but the "The addressee requested later delivery. The item is being held at addressee's request." part has me confused. If I am the "addressee", I did not ever request the item to be held, nor had any form of communication with them. I THINK they're just holding it until Monday again, but I'm not sure. Any help/advice would be appreciated Thank you

Resolved Question: parcel delivery help?

I ordered a parcel on-line from Gamestation, Gamestation use the courier service Parcel force, the parcel was apparently delivered on the 04/01/2012, i went to parcel force website to track my parcel, it said that it was delivered and signed for, however no one in my home took in, or signed for a parcel that day, i rang parcelforce and was constantly put on hold, finally i got through and they told me they will try and receive in touch with the driver, then call me back, this happened twice and then someone told me to call gamestation, and then after a long time on hold i finally got through to gamestation who told me the same thing, that they will have to receive in touch with the driver and call me back. I think this is a cycle, I'm just going to be calling, being put on hold, then being told i'll be called back. I want to know if there is any other way to tackle this problem and receive my parcel. Thank you for reading this.

Open Question: delivery high-low method question?

Speedy Parcel Service operates a fleet of delivery trucks in a big metropolitan area. A careful study by the company’s cost analyst has determined that if a truck is driven 132,000 miles during a year, the average operating cost is 14.2 cents per mile. If a truck is driven only 88,000 miles during a year, the average operating cost increases to 17.6 cents per mile. im having trouble getting the right answer for this, my variable cost per mile needs to be rounded to at least 3 decimal places, but when i try i receive 7.4 as my answer. i dunno if the question's numbers are wrong, or if my math is....
